1. John’s dad, Gene Brown, is seriously ill. He has had major heart issues for years, but is now on
oxygen most of the time and the doctors say he does not have much time left. We want to pray for his salvation as he was raised a Christian Scientist. John has given him the Gospel, a Bible and the last 2 visits to the States his father attended services where John taught.
2. Our family needs to renew all of our passports, which with seven of us, is a no small fee, so we need provision for this.
3. Direction for our son, Garrett, who will be finishing his Business course this summer. He is planning on taking a gap year before continuing on with University and is praying about a few intern options.
4. Our daughter Savannah is in her senior year of high school and is wanting to apply to Open University here in England for this February term. She has done all her paperwork, but has to turn it in by the 10th of January with her passport (which needs renewing). So if this is the Lord’s will, we need this to fall into place speedily.
5. For the Lord to work in our children’s lives in an individual way because of their own faith and love for the Lord, not just because their family is Christian and in the ministry.
Thanks.
Just to update: John left this morning for CA in hopes of seeing his dad one final time, but we got the news that he passed away this morning, just before John went to the airport. The Lord knows the timing for everything and so we have to trust that He knows what is best for us. John will now be there for his dad’s funeral and will get some time with his 3 brothers, nieces, nephews and his mom who will be flying out from GA soon. Pray for John to process all this and for his family to be thinking about eternity more than ever and that their hearts will be open to Jesus before it is too late.
Also, Savannah did get accepted to Open University. All her paperwork is still being processed, but they still allowed her to go, as the process usually goes through in time.
Lastly, we renewed our passports yesterday in London and John was able to get an emergency passport for his flight today. The Lord worked it all out.
Thank you for praying. 🙂
